Questions, Answered
What types of businesses do you work with?
I work with businesses across a wide range of industries and at different stages of growth. Whether you're a solo founder, an established company or anything in between, my approach remains the same: taking the time to understand your business, becoming a trusted extension of your team and providing support wherever it adds the greatest value.
To date, I've supported charities, educational settings, accountants, marketing agencies, fintech businesses, event companies, coaches, software companies, YouTube creators and more.
The industry may differ, but the goal is always the same: helping ambitious businesses run more smoothly so their leaders can focus on what they do best.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to delegate before we start?
No. Many clients come to me knowing they need support but aren't entirely sure where that support is needed. During our initial consultation, we'll talk through your business, your current workload and where you're spending your time. Together, we'll identify where I can make the greatest impact from day one.
As we work together and I gain a deeper understanding of your business, it's completely natural for the support to evolve.
How quickly can we get started?
Usually much sooner than people expect. I've started supporting new clients within a couple of days of our first conversation.
I've designed my onboarding process to be as simple and straightforward as possible, keeping the time and effort required from you to a minimum. We'll cover everything I need to get started without creating unnecessary work for you.
Once we're set up, I'll begin getting to know your business while providing support from day one, so you can start seeing the benefits straight away.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I work primarily remotely, allowing me to support businesses wherever they're based.
Working remotely doesn't mean working at a distance. I'll integrate into your existing systems, use the communication tools your team already relies on and become a seamless extension of your business. Where appropriate, I'm also happy to attend meetings or work in person by prior arrangement.
How do you split your time between multiple clients?
Every client has dedicated time reserved within my schedule each month. I carefully manage my workload and intentionally limit the number of businesses I support at any one time, ensuring every client receives the time, attention and responsiveness they've signed up for.
Rather than constantly switching between clients, I plan my time to work efficiently while remaining flexible enough to respond when priorities change. This allows me to become a genuine extension of each business, rather than simply completing tasks.
How are my hours used?
Your hours are available to use throughout the month in whatever way best supports your business. They're not allocated to specific days or weeks, so if one week is particularly busy and another is quieter, that's absolutely fine.
This flexibility allows us to respond to changing priorities, deadlines and opportunities while making the best use of your allocated time.
Can I change my package?
Yes. Your support should evolve alongside your business.
If you need additional support, we can increase your package, subject to availability. If your business becomes quieter, we can reduce it from your next billing period.
My aim is to make sure you always have the right level of support for where your business is today.
Do unused hours roll over?
No. Your monthly package reserves dedicated time within my schedule specifically for your business during that billing period, so any unused hours don't roll over into the following month.
If you're approaching the end of the month with hours remaining, I'll always do my best to make you aware so we can make the most of the time you've reserved.
How do we communicate?
I'll work with the communication methods your business already uses. Whether that's Microsoft Teams, Slack, WhatsApp, Zoom, phone or email, I'll integrate into your existing way of working rather than asking you to change your processes.
The aim is to make working together feel as seamless as possible, fitting naturally into the way you and your team already communicate.
Will you use my company email address?
Yes, wherever possible I prefer to have a company email address. It allows me to communicate professionally with your clients, suppliers and stakeholders, while also ensuring I'm included in internal conversations and can work seamlessly as part of your team.
If a company email isn't appropriate for the role I'm providing, we'll simply use the communication methods that work best for your business.
Will people know you're not an employee?
Not unless you choose to tell them.
My aim is to become a seamless extension of your business. I'll work within your existing systems, use your company email address where possible, and represent your business professionally in every interaction.
Whether I'm communicating with clients, suppliers, stakeholders or your team, I'll do so as part of your business, providing a consistent and professional experience.
What access will you need?
The access I need depends entirely on the support you'd like me to provide and, most importantly, what you're comfortable with.
Some clients give me access to Slack or Microsoft Teams, while others trust me with their email, calendar, finance systems or other business platforms. There's never any pressure to provide more access than you're comfortable with, and we'll always discuss what's needed before we begin.
That said, the level of access you choose will naturally determine the support I can provide. For example, if I don't have access to your inbox, I won't be able to manage your emails. My role is to make your life easier, so together we'll find the level of access that feels right for you while allowing me to support your business effectively.
How do you keep my business information secure?
Protecting your business information is something I take extremely seriously. Everything you share with me is treated as strictly confidential and only used for the purpose of supporting your business.
I only request access to the systems and information needed to carry out my role, and if you'd like additional reassurance, I'm more than happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before we begin working together.
How do you track the time you spend?
I accurately track all the time I spend working on your business throughout the month, giving you complete confidence in how your allocated hours are being used.
I'm always happy to let you know how many hours you've used and how many you have remaining. I'll also keep an eye on your usage and let you know when you're approaching your monthly allocation, so there are no unexpected surprises.
What happens if you're unavailable or go on holiday?
If I know I'm going to be away, I'll always give you as much notice as possible so we can plan ahead together. Where appropriate, I'll complete work in advance, catch up afterwards or agree an alternative approach that works for both of us.
If I'm unable to provide the hours included in your package for any reason, I won't charge you for time I haven't been able to deliver. Any adjustment will simply be reflected in your next invoice.
My aim is always to be fair, transparent and ensure you receive the support you've paid for.
How does payment work?
Monthly support is invoiced and paid in advance at the start of each billing period, reserving your dedicated time for the month ahead.
Ad hoc support is also invoiced and paid in advance before work begins.
If your business has its own invoicing process or payment cycle, I'm happy to work with that wherever possible. As long as it's discussed and agreed in advance, I'm always happy to find an arrangement that works for both of us.
If you ever have any questions about your package, invoices or billing, I'm always happy to discuss them.
Can you really help with anything?
As long as it's morally correct and within my capabilities, yes.
My role isn't to replace specialists such as accountants, solicitors or IT professionals. Instead, I become the person who keeps things moving, coordinates projects, solves problems, manages the details and supports your business wherever needed.
If something falls outside my expertise, I'll always be honest about it and help identify the right next step.
